Inulin

Inulin is a natural water-soluble dietary fiber and functional prebiotic that serves as a non-starch energy reserve in plants. It is primarily extracted from asteraceae plants such as Jerusalem artichoke, chicory.

Available in both Conventional Inulin (90% purity) and Organic-Certified Inulin grades, presented as a white powder.Low‑calorie (approx. 1.5 kcal/g, only 1/4 of sucrose), does not participate in blood‑glucose metabolism.

PRODUCT DETAILS

Function

  • Potent Gut Microecology Modulation

As a dedicated nutrient source for Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus,

Inulin can significantly proliferate beneficial bacteria and suppress the growth of harmful bacteria;

Restoring gut microbiota balance.Its prebiotic activity is comparable to fructooligosaccharides (FOS).

  • Gut Barrier Protection

Fermented by beneficial bacteria to produce short‑chain fatty acids (SCFAs);

Inulin lowers intestinal PH, stimulates proliferation of intestinal mucosal epithelial cells;

Repairs damaged intestinal mucosa, strengthens gut‑barrier function;

Reduces endotoxin translocation into the bloodstream.

  • Bidirectional Regulation For Constipation & Diarrhea

Short‑chain fatty acids boost intestinal peristalsis and raise faecal water content to relieve functional constipation.

Meanwhile, it modulates intestinal osmotic pressure to alleviate diarrhoea;

Provides auxiliary conditioning effects for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

  • Promotion of Mineral Absorption

By lowering intestinal PH, it facilitates the dissolution of calcium, magnesium and iron ions;

Increasing calcium absorption rate by 15%‑25% and lowering osteoporosis risk.

Inulin is especially suitable for middle‑aged and elderly populations.

  • Metabolic Health Support

Not absorbed in the upper gastrointestinal tract;

It features an extremely low glycaemic index (GI) and will not raise blood glucose;

Making it suitable for people with diabetes.

It also reduces serum cholesterol and triglyceride levels to assist blood‑lipid regulation.

  • Weight‑Management Support

Inulin increases food bulk, prolongs gastric emptying time, enhances satiety and cuts calorie intake.

In addition, it inhibits fat synthesis to support weight control.

Application

  • Food Industry

Yogurt & dairy products (texture improvement, thickening), functional beverages;

Baked foods (taste optimization, shelf‑life extension), meal‑replacement powders;

Ice cream, chocolate (anti‑crystallization)

  • Healthcare Products

Gut‑regulating probiotic preparations, constipation‑relief products;

Calcium‑absorption supplements, weight‑management products;

Special‑purpose foods for diabetic populations

  • Feed Industry

Feed additives for livestock, poultry and aquaculture;

Improves intestinal health, enhances feed conversion ratio, reduces diarrhoea incidence

  • Pharmaceutical Field

Auxiliary conditioning for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS),

Prevention of antibiotic‑associated diarrhoea;

Nutritional support for post‑surgical intestinal repair
